DAY 1-4

Seaside Kochi has been an important trading port for hundreds of years. The result is a fascinating blend of cultures from around the world. You’ll see billowing Chinese fishing nets and colourful Dutch-era buildings, narrow cobbled streets lined with craft and spice shops as well as synagogues and mosques. Spend a few days exploring this vibrant city’s layered history, sample the delicious food, and then head into the lap of nature at Malayattoor. Life by the Periyar River is about savouring the grandeur of nature,filled with bird watching, sunset boat rides, and wildlife spotting. 


DAY 5-10

From the riverside, you’ll head into the spice plantation-covered hills of the Western Ghats. Munnar and Thekkady are gorgeous hill towns, carpeted in tea estates where wild elephants are frequent visitors. You can cycle along country roads, take long walks in nature, watch the sunrise over mist-covered hills, and sip endless cups of fine tea. The landscape changes dramatically as you proceed to the backwaters of Kumarakom. Explore mangrove forests field with birdsong and go on serene sunset cruises on the lake. 


DAY 11-15

Further south in Ashtamudi, you’ll have the quintessential Kerala houseboat experience on a gorgeous lake. Interact with the skilled craftsmen who’ve been building these traditional boats for generations, and then head to the gorgeous beach town of Kovalam. Crescent beaches and quiet fishing villages, delicious meals at luxury resorts and sunset cruises - Kovalam is a real treat for everyone.
