Wild Encounters & Sacred Shrines

Guwahati, Kaziranga, Jorhat

Brief

Assam dazzles visitors with its rhino-studded grasslands and vast tea estates. The Kaziranga National Park stretching along the River Brahmaputra is among the best places in the world to spot the greater one-horned rhinoceros. On game drives and boat rides, you might just spot many other wonderful species as well, like river dolphins and hornbills. Explore Guwahati’s holy temples and quaint craft shops. Tea estates in Assam hark back to the colonial era, and you can experience the lavish life of planters at a heritage bungalow surrounded by tea gardens and birdsong.
