Why this Morocco journey is different
Morocco is often reduced to Marrakech, a night in the desert and a handful of familiar stops. This journey was intentionally built to go further. Thirteen days take you across the country, from the High Atlas and two nights in the Sahara to the old medina of Fez, Roman Volubilis, blue Chefchaouen and Rabat. Along the way, you meet the people who give these places context: women making argan oil, Berber nomads in Erg Chebbi, musicians in Khamlia, craftsmen and local guides.
Because the difference is not how much of Morocco you see. It is how deeply you are introduced to it.

Before You Go
The practical part, kept short.
Entry and documents
Many nationalities enter Morocco visa-free for up to ninety days; others require a consular or e-visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival and hold two blank pages. We confirm the requirement for your specific passport in writing at the time of booking.
Money
The dirham is a closed currency and cannot be obtained abroad; change on arrival, or draw from ATMs, which are reliable in all the cities on this route. Cards are accepted in hotels and better restaurants, rarely in the souks. Beverages at meals are not included, so carry cash for them.
Connectivity and health
Wi-fi is good in all hotels and workable at the desert camp. No vaccinations are required; we advise being current on routine immunisations. A doctor is reachable at every point of the route.
What to bring
Shoulders and knees covered for religious sites and small villages; linen and cotton by day, and one warm layer for the desert at night, the Tizi n’Tichka at 2,260 metres and the Middle Atlas crossing. Broken-in shoes with grip for medina cobbles and the walk up to Imlil. A scarf, for sun, sand and modesty in equal measure.
Climate on this route
Daytime high / night-time low in °C. Rain is rare in the recommended months. Desert nights fall to single figures in March, and the camp provides blankets and braziers.

Group size
The journey operates on a private basis for ten to sixteen guests. Vehicle allocation follows group size: a sixteen-seat Sprinter for ten to twelve adults, a private coach for larger groups.

Changes to the itinerary
Weather, religious observance and road conditions in the Atlas may occasionally reorder a day. The balloon flight in particular depends on conditions and is confirmed twenty-four hours ahead. The substance of the journey is never reduced.
